Welcome to our Frequently asked question about landscaping in Perth

What is the difference between a Softscape and a Hardscape?

These terms are thrown around quite a bit in this industry but don’t worry, they are not too complex to grasp.
Softscapes refers to anything green and growing; plants, garden beds, lawn areas, shrubs and so on.
Hardscapes refers to hard installations in your garden; laying paving, retaining walls construction, walkways, decks or patios, or decorative features like ponds or sculptures.

What makes your company unique?

We are a full-service landscaping company under the umbrella of Perth Landscaping Group, which has specialised branches of Landscaping, Gardening and Reticulation. This means we can look after your valuable property from Design to Maintenance to water-wise irrigation. Our teams are trained, experienced, have the greenest of thumbs and a passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces for our clients. So whatever your garden needs – we can supply!

Can you provide garden maintenance after my project is complete?

We sure can. Perth Gardening is a branch of our business that specialises in year-round garden maintenance. They offer packages which can be tailored to your individual requirements. And who better to look after your gorgeous new lawn than a qualified team who work with us and will be familiar with your needs?!

Can you offer a detailed landscape design plan?

Yes, we can. Along with the detailed landscape plan, your designer will provide a detailed quote with everything from plant and pot selection, to estimated budget. This way you can easily visualise the end result and have a clear understanding of what you will be getting.

What services do you provide?

When it comes to landscaping services, we are a one-stop-shop. We can start with a landscape design to help you create your ideal garden and help with design ideas, we can also do the installation, renovation, garden maintenance, irrigation installation and retic servicing on residential and commercial properties.

Do you handle project-management?

We definitely can. Once we have created your dream design, we can take the reins and see it to completion. Anything we don’t do ourselves we will organise one of our trusted contractors to undertake, all under our careful supervision. So you deal with your project manager only, and they will keep you informed every step of the way.

Will we need a permit for our project?

Your landscape designer will be able to let you know what you will need and will make sure all information and permits are in order before work begins. Safety always comes first and we wouldn’t compromise our work or your property – you are in good hands!

Are your team fully trained and experienced in Landscaping?

Absolutely! Our employees and contractors are all qualified and highly skilled in their field, and not just that, they are passionate about what they do. No going through the motions here, our guys love what they do – and are very good at it!

What is the best time of year for landscape installation?

We would recommend from October – April, but being in sunny Perth means that we can install plants almost year-round. Hardscapes (i.e., retaining walls, water features, etc.) can be installed and designs can be created at any time of the year. So don’t let the season stop you from getting in touch!

What should I know before hiring a landscape designer?

Ask yourself a few questions:
How do you use the space now?
How would you like to use it?
What is your lifestyle?
Active in the outdoors? Maybe you need a pool, a big lawn for the kids to play sports on, some room for your pet?
Do you like to relax in your garden? Maybe you need a cosy outdoor area with nooks and crannies for reading, plenty of seating, an outdoor kitchen with a BBQ area…
Do you entertain, how many people do you usually host?
If you have a clear idea of what you want to get out of your space, our landscape designer will be able to figure out the best way to make that a reality for you. Our designer spends about an hour on site with you and will be able to help show you the potentials in your space – and together you will create something that suits you perfectly!
